The Bedford Center is an adult day health care program run by the nonprofit Choice in Aging, serving East and Far East Contra Costa County. A team of nurses, social workers, therapists and activity staff provides individualized therapeutic, social and health services so participants can keep living at home, while caregivers get respite. Choice in Aging also offers programming for people with mid-to-late stage Alzheimer's disease. Reviewers, including stroke survivors and spouses, describe caring staff, crafts, music and games, and say the program has helped with recovery. It is licensed by the California Department of Public Health as an Adult Day Health Care center.

Services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team and include nursing, occupational and speech therapy, exercise and fall prevention, and social and cognitive activities. Enrollment includes a formal assessment, a home visit by a social worker, and an individualized plan of care. Reviewers mention crafts, music and games such as Wii bowling.
