Clermont Senior Services Adult Day Services

Clermont Senior Services' Adult Day Services program is housed at the Lois Brown Dale Welcome Center, next to the agency's administrative offices in Batavia. It offers a safe, nurturing day for older adults with physical and cognitive impairments; most participants have Alzheimer's disease or another dementia, and others live with the effects of a stroke, Parkinson's disease or other chronic conditions. Staff lead activities that are mentally and physically engaging, and the agency also hosts a monthly caregiver support group at the center. A family reviewer describes their mother enjoying fishing, Bible study, exercise, games and visits from volunteer musicians and entertainers. Staff provide mentally and physically engaging activities for participants with dementia and other cognitive or physical impairments, and the center publishes monthly activity calendars along with breakfast and lunch menus. Clermont Senior Services hosts a caregiver support group on the third Tuesday of each month at the Adult Day Services building.
