Prime Time Adult Care Inc

Prime Time Adult Care Inc is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the Bethel Park, PA community since 1985. Originally an outreach ministry of Christ United Methodist Church, it has grown into a licensed five-day-a-week program by the Pennsylvania Dept. of Aging. The center's vision is to create a community where adults needing assistance can remain in their homes by offering caregivers safe and affordable respite through day services. Prime Time provides a friendly and therapeutic environment, focusing on activating, reinstituting, or maintaining clients' functions to the greatest extent of their ability. This approach enhances the quality of life for both clients and caregivers, delaying or avoiding the need for 24-hour residential settings. The center's activities are designed to support emotional, social, mental, and physical well-being, with each activity planned for enjoyment and therapeutic benefits. Prime Time operates two units to meet the diverse needs of individuals living at home, and specific client needs are discussed during an initial visit with the Director.

Prime Time Adult Care Inc offers a comprehensive range of services to support its clients' well-being. Meals include a light continental breakfast, a hot lunch served at noon, and a mid-afternoon snack, with beverages like cold tea, lemonade, or water available in sugar-free and regular options. Nursing services, overseen by an RN, include vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and diabetes support, with ongoing monitoring of mental, physical, and emotional wellness. Daily activities such as chair fitness exercises, games, music, arts and crafts, and memory stimulation are designed to provide therapeutic benefits. Special events and holidays are celebrated with participant involvement. Family conferences are held every six months or as needed to review and customize each client's program based on their interests, abilities, and needs. The center also offers a caregivers support group, meeting monthly to provide respite and community for family members and caregivers.

Prime Time Adult Care Inc is located at 44 Highland Rd, Bethel Park, PA 15102, in the lower level of Christ United Methodist Church. The center is easily accessible from the South Hills or northern Washington County via Route 19. Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm, with closures for most national holidays. Financial aid based on need is available, and the center is a member of the state and national adult day services associations, PADSA and NADSA. Prime Time's facility is designed to be a 'home away from home,' with safety and functionality in mind, catering to the desires of its clients. The center's staff includes LPNs, RNs, CNAs, and Med Techs, many with decades of healthcare experience, ensuring a healthy and supportive environment for all participants.
