Evergreen Adult Medical Daycare

Evergreen Adult Medical Daycare is a weekday day program on Baltimore Street in Cumberland, affiliated with The Kensington senior living community. It is designed for adults who need extra help, support and companionship during the day, with structure, social activities and personal assistance. Free transportation covers daily pick-up and drop-off as well as medical and therapy appointments. Participants may attend through the Medicaid waiver or private pay, and staff help families with the income qualification process. It is licensed in Maryland as an Adult Medical Day Care center for up to 30 participants.

A registered nurse and certified medication technician handle daily medication administration, refill coordination and pill planners, including filling them before weekends. Participants receive two hot meals (breakfast and lunch) and an afternoon snack, plus help with bathing, hygiene and personal laundry. Activities include bingo and cards, crafts, baking and cooking, movies, bowling, picnics, shopping trips, scenic rides and excursions, and invitations to evening events at The Kensington.
