Daytime Adult Day Center by Runk & Pratt

Daytime Adult Day Center is run by Runk & Pratt Senior Living Communities, a Central Virginia senior living operator, and offers seniors who benefit from extra supervision and socialization an alternative to long-term care placement. The center is designed around an indoor "Main Street" with a working movie theater, a soda shop, a community market and a chapel. Participants, called "Daytimers," take part in day trips, cooking classes, exercise and games, with on-site care staff under nurse oversight. It is licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services as an adult day care center for up to 30 participants.

The center lists on-site nursing staff, medication management, a chef-prepared daily meal and salon services. The activity calendar includes exercise and fitness games, music and performances, church services, paint and cooking classes, bingo and brain games, indoor gardening, movies and day trips or bus rides. A multi-sensory room is also available.
