FCSN Adult Day Program (Fremont)

The FCSN Adult Day Program (also licensed as the L.E.A.D. Adult Training Program) is run by Friends of Children with Special Needs, a Bay Area nonprofit founded in 1996 by Chinese-American families of children with special needs. The program offers person-centered training in site-based and community settings, with an instructor-to-client ratio of 1:3 or 1:4, and runs year-round without summer or winter breaks. It is for Regional Center clients 18 and older who can self-administer medication and do not have medical complications or aggressive behaviors. Reviewers describe a spacious new building and a welcoming community. It is licensed by the California Department of Social Services as an Adult Day Program for up to 75 participants.

Training areas include vocational training and volunteer work, healthy living skills such as exercise, dance, health education, meal preparation and housekeeping, and life enrichment through music, arts and crafts, drama, board games and technology. Participants also access community resources, take part in civic and community activities and practice community safety.

The program is at 42080 Osgood Rd, Fremont, CA 94539. It runs Monday through Friday for 5.5 to 6 hours a day with no summer or winter breaks.
