Senior TLC PACE – Gastonia

Senior TLC (Senior Total Life Care) is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) with centers in Gastonia and Shelby. At the Gastonia center on Remount Road, participants can join a wide variety of activities, have lunch with friends and see their doctors, therapists and social workers in one place. Services are usually free for seniors who qualify for Medicaid, with no copays, premiums or deductibles. Reviewers describe helpful staff caring for about 200 participants and mention that the center provides transportation, though one family raises serious concerns about personal care. It is certified by North Carolina as an Adult Day Health program for up to 192 participants.

Senior TLC coordinates medical care, therapy and rehabilitation, care at home, transportation, socialization and activities, dementia and memory care, and caregiver support. At the day center, participants take part in activities, eat lunch together and meet with their care team. An on-call nurse is available after hours, on holidays and on weekends.
