Creative Living Center

Creative Living Center is a dual-licensed adult day health and day care program in Greenville serving adults 18 and older, including older adults and people with physical or cognitive impairments. Its mission is to offer an alternative to residential care. A registered nurse serves as health care coordinator and oversees each participant's health care, working with certified nursing assistants. Families mention lunch and snacks and caring staff, and one says her mother has attended since 2018; another reviewer felt activities were limited to TV, eating and coloring. It is certified by North Carolina as an Adult Day Care and Day Health program for up to 36 participants.

The health care coordinator, a registered nurse, checks vital signs monthly, gives prescribed and over-the-counter medications and injections, changes bandages and dressings, and keeps an individual care plan for each participant. Two snacks and a catered lunch are served daily, and the center can accommodate diabetic, gluten-free, mechanical soft, low-sodium and other diets. Participants must be 18 or older, be able to state their own needs and feed themselves, and not wander excessively. The center offers three enrollment options at a flat rate of $52 a day, billed monthly; it does not take insurance, Medicare or Medicaid, but staff can talk about help with costs and veterans benefits.
