Odyssey Adult Day Care - Cypress Landing

Odyssey Adult Day Activity Centers run three locations in Houston, and this center on Cypress Landing Drive serves north Houston. Odyssey focuses on adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who want a community-based day program, and also serves older adults, people with physical or mental impairments, people living with dementia or Alzheimer's, people with chronic diseases, and seniors who are isolated or simply want company. Its goals are to help participants maintain or improve their ability to care for themselves, avoid unnecessary institutional care and keep growing socially. The staff includes registered and licensed practical nurses, social workers, dietitians and activity professionals. The center is licensed by Texas Health and Human Services as a Day Activity and Health Services (DAHS) facility, including individualized skills and socialization, for up to 111 participants.

Odyssey offers a safe, structured day with daily health observations and monitoring, chronic care management, medication management, personal care and help with walking, plus nutritious meals that cater to therapeutic dietary needs. Activities are planned around each person's assessment and include a movie theater, game room, computer lab, library and reading room, fitness areas, meditation, arts and crafts, sports and recreation, creative arts, cognitive stimulation, Alzheimer's reminiscence activities, light exercise classes and monthly field trips.

This Odyssey location is at 2115 Cypress Landing Dr, Houston, TX 77090, and is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Transportation is provided within a 15-mile radius at no extra cost; beyond that, a gas stipend may apply case by case.
