Easterseals Colorado Explorers Adult Day Program

Easterseals Colorado runs adult day services for people 18 and older with a wide range of disabilities and skill levels. At its West Alameda Avenue site in Lakewood it offers Explorers, its Denver metro day program, and the Neurological Rehabilitation Adult Day Program (NRADP) for people living with neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease, MS, traumatic brain injury and stroke. Participants take part in group activities, community outings, skill-building, recreation and therapeutic support aimed at independence, health and community inclusion. Reviewers say the day program is well run and that the staff do excellent work with stroke survivors. It is certified by Colorado's Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) as an adult day services provider.

Programs focus on individual goals, skill building, independence, health, safety, socialization and community inclusion. The NRADP is designed for people with neurological disorders, including stroke, MS, Parkinson's disease and brain injury. Easterseals Colorado also offers respite, camps, caregiver resources and the Angels Service in-home support program.
