Easterseals Bluegrass Adult Day Health

Adult Day Health at Easterseals Bluegrass is a weekday program in Lexington for adults 18 and older with disabilities and/or significant health issues, running since 1998. It serves adults who are medically stable, have a primary care physician, and do not require a ventilator or bed confinement. The program gives equal emphasis to participants' health, functional and social needs, and provides relief for family caregivers. Staff include registered nurses, an on-site social worker and an on-site dietitian, and activities range from technology training to Miracle League baseball and music and pet therapies. It is licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky as an Adult Day Health center.

Participants receive registered nursing care, support from an on-site social worker, and balanced meals and snacks planned with an on-site dietitian. Activities include reading and writing, money skills, trivia and board games, technology training, holiday parties, exercise classes, sporting games, Miracle League baseball, gardening, music and pet therapies, arts and crafts, and storytelling.
