Apple Grove Alzheimer's and Dementia Day Care

Apple Grove is a locally owned Alzheimer's and dementia residence in Memphis, near Germantown and Collierville, that opened in 2009 and also runs a day care program for people living at home. Day participants take part in the same activities as full-time residents, with support from staff trained in Alzheimer's and dementia care, in a homelike setting on a five-acre campus. Families describe warm, attentive staff and say their loved ones enjoyed crafts and felt safe there. It is a licensed adult day services center in Tennessee.

Day care participants join residents in art, music, horticulture, physical and cognitive exercise, pet and horticulture therapies and holiday parties. Meals and snacks are provided, and quiet time is offered to ease anxiety or fatigue. Staff trained in dementia care support each person based on the help they need. Apple Grove also offers respite stays and residential care.

Apple Grove is located at 3575 Hacks Cross Rd, Memphis, TN 38125. Its day care program runs Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a minimum attendance of two days a week; other conditions apply. Families can request a tour or call (901) 755-1244.
