KANDU Industries is a Milton nonprofit that serves people with disabilities and disadvantages, and its Adult Day Services and Memory Care program gives older adults and people with memory loss a structured day while caregivers get respite. The program describes a comfortable, home-like setting where clients spend the day with peers, with a ratio of one staff member to eight clients and one-to-one care available. Services & Care
Programming is tailored to each person's abilities, with scheduled cognitive and physical activities. KANDU lists movies in its own theater, arts and crafts, games, music therapy, exercise, outings and trips, shopping, preparing meals, reading and themed parties, about 120 activities a month. Staff assist with day-to-day needs including meal preparation, toileting, continence care, medication administration and mobility.
