St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care – Bucyrus Campus

St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care is a nonprofit whose Bucyrus Campus on Milwaukee's north side opened in 2015, replicating the programs of its Stein Campus. Its adult day program serves frail older adults and adults of all ages with disabilities, and the center also offers a secured, homelike day setting for people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. A distinctive feature is regular interaction between the adults and children in St. Ann's on-site child care, through storytelling, music, art and movement activities. Reviewers describe loving staff who care for both the children and the seniors. It is certified by the State of Wisconsin as an Adult Day Care Center (ADCC) for up to 200 participants.

St. Ann Center says nurses (RN or LPN) provide medical care, and personal care workers help with hygiene and grooming, continence and mobility. A hot lunch and snack are served daily, and special diets, including tube feeding, can be accommodated. Days include exercise, field trips, music and art in fully equipped art studios, emotional and spiritual support, and shared activities with children from the center's child care. Specialized dementia day care is offered in a secured, homelike setting.
