Silver Care Dementia Center

Silver Care Dementia Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Norfolk that supports people living with dementia in a safe, non-institutional social setting while giving their caregivers relief and education. Besides weekday daytime hours, it runs a dementia night respite program from 5 to 11 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, in a homestyle space called Lashley Village. Activities are tailored to each person's abilities and interests, with music, games and creative engagement. Families praise the staff as compassionate, honest and professional. It is licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services as an adult day care center for up to 20 participants.
