Empath Dementia Adult Day Center

The Empath Dementia Adult Day Center is a licensed day program run by Empath Health on the Helen "Mimi" Walker Campus of Hospice of Marion County in Ocala. It is for people living with dementia who need structured, supervised care during the day. It shares the campus with the separate Empath Dementia Education and Care Center, which offers free Memory Cafes, caregiver workshops and a caregiver support group to the community. It is licensed by the State of Florida (Agency for Health Care Administration) as an Adult Day Care Center (license 9702) for up to 24 participants.

The adult day center provides structured, supervised daytime care for individuals living with dementia. On the same campus, the Empath Dementia Education and Care Center offers monthly Memory Cafes, hands-on caregiver workshops, a caregiver support group and a community resource hub, all free. Ask the day center about its daily schedule, meals and transportation.
