Dayspring Adult Day Services

Dayspring Adult Day Services is a day program in west Oklahoma City, run alongside the ROC (Reaching Our City) community ministry. It is mainly for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and also serves older adults, with structured daytime activities, socialization and personal growth in a safe setting. Participants and families also have access to ROC's other services, including a resale shop, food resource center and clinic. Its Oasis Club, funded by an Alzheimer's Association Center for Dementia Respite Innovation grant, offers caregiver respite with memory-connected music and sensory experiences. Reviewers say staff treat everyone with dignity and kindness and describe structure, meaningful activities and a sense of belonging. It is licensed in Oklahoma as an adult day care center for up to 36 participants.

Staff provide health monitoring, medical monitoring and personal care, including help with mobility, grooming and toileting. Lunches and snacks are served, though meals are not tailored to special diets. Daily activities include life skills training, community outings, games, arts and crafts, fitness and sensory stimulation, and the center offers transportation services. Caregiver support groups and the Oasis Club respite program are also available.
