The Ontario Adult Day Program is one of several day programs operated by Oparc, a nonprofit founded in 1950 that serves people with disabilities in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County. The program supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and participants work with staff to set personal goals and choose activities that match their interests. A typical day can include fitness and wellness sessions, academic, social, creative or recreational activities, community outings, skill building and volunteering. Participants are referred through the Inland Regional Center, San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center or the California Department of Rehabilitation. It is licensed by the California Department of Social Services as an Adult Day Program for up to 75 participants.
Services & Care
Oparc's adult day programs are person-centered: participants set goals with staff and choose activities such as fitness and wellness, academic and creative classes, recreation, community outings and volunteering with local partners. Oparc also offers behavioral support, medically fragile and community-based (Explore) programs at other sites, plus employment services.
