SeniorCare Homes runs small residential memory care homes in Overland Park, and its Adult Day Stay program lets people living with Alzheimer's, dementia or memory loss spend the day in one of these homes alongside full-time residents. The program is meant to give family caregivers a break and to help delay a full-time move. Day Stay participants are cared for by the homes' care specialists and nurses and join the daily flow of a household of about eight people. Days are purchased in blocks or flexible monthly plans. New Canaan House is licensed in Kansas as a Home Plus with adult day care.

Day Stay participants can stay up to 12 hours a day with flexible drop-off and pick-up times and are served three meals. Activities include walking on an enclosed path and specialized memory enhancement exercises, along with ordinary household activities. Care is provided by the same care specialists and nurses who serve the full-time residents.
