Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York (KCS), founded in 1973, runs this social adult day care center at its Bayside headquarters for seniors who need supervision during the day. The program serves culturally appropriate meals and plans social activities aimed at keeping up motor and cognitive skills. KCS mainly serves the Korean American community and other immigrant groups. One family member describes her mother as well cared for by kind, attentive staff, and says she comes home talking about the day's nutrition advice. The center is listed in New York City's registry of social adult day care programs and registered with the NYC Department for the Aging.
