Have A Heart Adult Day Center

Have A Heart, Inc. runs a person-centered adult day program for adults with developmental and physical disabilities on a 5-acre farm property outside River Falls. The setting includes an adaptive gym, a barn, activity and cooking areas, and rest areas with private beds, and clients go on at least two community outings a month. The center highlights a low staff-to-client ratio and sends guardians daily updates through the Brightwheel app. A parent reviewer says their son is happy there and appreciates the communication with families. It is certified by the State of Wisconsin as an Adult Day Care Center (ADCC) for up to 30 participants.

Each client has an individualized care plan, and days include arts and crafts, games, sports, cooking and baking, gardening, music, life skills training and community outings. Staff have backgrounds in working with people with disabilities and are First Aid and CPR trained. On about two Saturdays a month, Fun-On-The-Farm care days offer many of the same activities as respite for families, and the center also offers summer programming.

The center's website lists hours as Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with Fun-On-The-Farm care from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on scheduled Saturdays.
