Grace Place Alzheimer's Center

Grace Place Alzheimer's Center is an adult day center on the Meals on Wheels San Antonio campus at 2718 Danbury Street, off Nacogdoches Road north of Loop 410. Meals on Wheels San Antonio describes it as the city's only nonprofit adult day center specializing in Alzheimer's care, with activities that build on participants' strengths, led by staff trained in dementia care. It offers respite for family caregivers and asks that participants attend at least three days a week. It is licensed by Texas Health and Human Services as a Day Activity and Health Services facility for up to 50 participants.

Grace Place provides socialization and activities for people with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia, facilitated by staff trained in dementia care. The organization publishes a monthly activity calendar and offers caregiver tips, resources and support groups.

Grace Place is at 2718 Danbury St Suite 02, San Antonio, TX 78217, and is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Participants must have Alzheimer's disease or dementia (a doctor's diagnosis is not required), be continent, move safely on their own and feed themselves; people who live alone or need medical care beyond the center's scope do not qualify.
