VAS Adult Medical Day Care Center

VAS Adult Medical Daycare Center was established in 2020 by Vietnamese American Services, a nonprofit serving the Vietnamese American community, and describes itself as the first Vietnamese-language adult daycare center licensed in Maryland. It provides daily care for more than 60 chronically ill seniors and individuals with disabilities as an alternative to nursing facility care. Care and rehabilitation activities are supervised by licensed, trained professionals and state-regulated support planners. Reviewers say the organization cares about and serves the community well. It is licensed by the State of Maryland as an Adult Medical Day Care center for up to 56 participants.

Services include medical supervision, medication management and regular health assessments; access to physical, occupational and acupuncture therapy; and nutritious meals and snacks tailored to dietary needs. Therapeutic activities include exercise programs, games and arts and crafts, and monthly workshops cover preventing and managing chronic diseases. The program also provides respite for family caregivers.
