Life Care is the adult day health center of Rutherford Life Services, a Spindale nonprofit that also runs a day activity program and a child development center. It serves impaired adults with physical, mental and social needs and is meant to help them keep living at home and delay nursing home placement. The center opened in 2001 with six people and now serves more than 50 families; it is staffed by a director, nursing staff and direct care staff. Reviewers describe caring staff, a friendly atmosphere, and meals and snacks. It is certified by North Carolina as an Adult Day Care and Day Health program for up to 60 participants.
Services & Care
Nursing staff provide medical and nutritional monitoring. Personal care includes bathing, toileting and incontinence care. Daily activities include music therapy, exercise, devotions and social events.
