Co-Op is an adult day center in downtown Vacaville operated by Crossroads Community Options and vendored by North Bay Regional Center. It serves adults with intellectual disabilities through a participant-driven, community-integrated program: each month a client council chooses activities in vocational training and work, physical education, recreation and education. Instructors support one, two or three participants each, depending on need. The 1,800-square-foot center is within walking distance of shops, parks and restaurants. It is licensed by the California Department of Social Services as an Adult Day Program for up to 45 participants.
Services & Care
Activities fall into four areas: vocational training, volunteer and paid work; physical education; leisure and recreation; and continuing education. They take place in-house and throughout the community, and participants build their own daily schedules. Free transportation is provided to and from Co-Op within the service area, and to activity sites during the day.
