CarePartners PACE

CarePartners PACE is a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly operated by Mission Health in Asheville. It serves people 55 and older who meet North Carolina's nursing home level of care but can live safely at home with PACE support. An interdisciplinary team coordinates adult day care, primary and specialty medical care, therapy and home care. Participants describe friendly staff who learn their names and say the medical and physical therapy staff have helped them a great deal, though one family reports rude treatment by staff. It is certified by North Carolina as an Adult Day Health program for up to 104 participants.

CarePartners PACE covers adult day care, primary care, medical specialty services, dentistry, laboratory and X-ray services, prescription drugs and home care. Participants receive physical, occupational and recreational therapy, meals and nutritional counseling, and social work counseling. Medical transportation is provided, and hospital and nursing home services are covered when needed.

CarePartners PACE is at 286 Overlook Rd, Asheville, NC 28803, and is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants must be 55 or older, live in Buncombe, Henderson, McDowell or Transylvania County (excluding ZIP codes 28774 and 28749), meet North Carolina's nursing home level of care and be able to live safely in the community.
