Visions in Motion (VIM) is an Elk Grove-based adult day program for people with developmental disabilities ages 18 to 70. Its person-centered program focuses on communication, education, recreation, fitness, health and wellness, and keeps a consistent 1-to-4 staff-to-client ratio. Participants take part in community projects with local partners such as the Elk Grove Food Bank, Elk Grove Community Garden and Meals on Wheels Sacramento. It is licensed by the California Department of Social Services as an Adult Day Program for up to 48 participants.
Services & Care
Days typically start with group fitness, nature walks or community outings, followed by arts, crafts, music and group games. Daily living skills training covers budgeting, grocery planning, communication and practical routines, and shared meals, celebrations and team activities build friendships.
