The Louisa Respite & Enrichment Center is an adult day program run by the Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA), the area agency on aging for Charlottesville and Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson counties. It offers a safe, uplifting weekday setting for adults living with dementia or other disabilities. Members take part in personalized activities, receive meals and snacks from JABA's chef, and have medication management and personal care available. It is licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services as an adult day care center for up to 25 participants.

Activities are personalized to members' interests and abilities, and staff work to build friendships among members. Trained staff provide health support, including medication management and personal care. Meals and snacks are prepared by JABA's on-site chef with nutrition approved by registered dietitians. Staff also connect caregivers with JABA and community resources.
