Marian's House

Marian's House is a daytime respite facility specifically designed for individuals with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s and other related dementias. Named in honor of Marian M. Farash, the house provides a warm, residential environment where guests can participate in various activities and receive specialized care. The facility is equipped for both one-on-one interactions and group activities, ensuring a personalized and engaging experience for each guest. The program focuses on enhancing the quality of life for participants while offering caregivers a much-needed break. Marian's House does not provide medical or health care services but emphasizes a supportive and compassionate approach to memory care.

Marian's House offers a specialized memory care program that includes a variety of activities centered on everyday life, such as cooking, gardening, exercising, reading, and games. Guests are encouraged to participate as much as they are able and willing, with all activities supervised by a program manager with expertise in memory care. The facility provides a structured yet flexible environment, allowing guests to attend for either all or part of the day. The program aims to foster social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical activity, all within a safe and supportive setting. Caregivers can reserve space for specific days, ensuring their loved ones receive the attention and engagement they need.

Marian's House is located at 2980 S Clinton Ave in the town of Brighton, Rochester, NY. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, excluding holidays. Caregivers must reserve space in advance for the days they wish their loved ones to attend. The house is designed to provide a comfortable and secure environment, with amenities tailored for individuals with memory impairments.
