Sonoma Day Program, formerly known as OADS, is run by United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay at its own facility in Rohnert Park. It serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and focuses on pathways to employment through paid work, adult education, employment training and recreation, both on site and in the community. The program contracts with Sonoma County businesses for work crews, and the fully accessible facility was newly built out in 2023. It is licensed by the California Department of Social Services as an Adult Day Program for up to 75 participants.
Services & Care
On site, participants do product packaging, adult education classes, studio artwork and showings, daily exercise and table games, and seasonal events. In the community they take on paid work at local businesses (recycling packaging, litter abatement, janitorial work), tour businesses, attend career trainings and job fairs, volunteer and visit regional parks. Transportation is provided to and from the program and to community activities by on-site passenger vans.
