Stein Education Center Adult Services

Stein Education Center Adult Services is the adult day program of Vista Hill's Sam and Rose Stein Education Center. It serves adults over 18 with intellectual and developmental disabilities, focusing on independence, skill development and community inclusion. Activities happen both on-site and in community settings, with pre-vocational training and volunteer opportunities. Vista Hill reports serving 270 adults across its sites in 2017 with high family satisfaction ratings. It is licensed by the California Department of Social Services as an Adult Day Program for up to 97 participants.

Services include on-site and community-based training, positive behavior intervention, pre-vocational training and volunteer opportunities. Participants work on language, social interaction and independence skills, and take part in group activities such as art and music classes and exercise.

The program is at 6070 Mission Gorge Rd, San Diego, CA 92120; Vista Hill also runs adult services in La Mesa and on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. The website lists hours of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
