RISE Services Adult Self Program

The Adult Self Program is RISE Services' day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, held at its Opportunity Center on Lackland Road in St. Louis County. It is designed for adults with IDD, including those with autism or significant behavioral support needs, and focuses on self-confidence, self-advocacy, self-direction and self-awareness. RISE behavior therapists create personal growth plans with goals such as social skills, staying on task and fine motor skills. RISE also runs the Midwest Adult Autism Project and employment services at the same campus. It is licensed in Missouri as an adult day care program for up to 45 participants.

Participants follow individual growth plans built by RISE behavior therapists, with regular progress updates. Activities include recreation, physical education, social skills training, community living skills, pre-employment training and therapy. Half-day and full-day options are available.

The Opportunity Center is at 11828 Lackland Rd, St. Louis, MO 63146 and offers half-day and full-day options Monday through Friday (office hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Funding comes mainly through the Missouri Department of Mental Health (Developmental Disabilities Services) and the Department of Health and Senior Services, and private pay is accepted.
