The Jackson County Adult Day Program is run by the county Department on Aging at its County Services Park campus in Sylva. It serves older adults who can't live independently without support from family or the community, including people with physical impairments or health concerns, and gives caregivers daytime respite. Each participant has a personalized care plan, and the program aims to help people live at home as long as possible. Reviewers of the Department on Aging building describe a welcoming staff and a wide range of activities. It is certified by North Carolina as an Adult Day Care program for up to 29 participants.

The program offers individual and group supervised activities, organized social activities and community outings, exercise and range-of-motion activities, arts and crafts, and educational programs.
