ESSE ADULT DAY SERVICES

ESSE Adult Day Services is dedicated to providing adult care options that promote the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of older adults and their families. The Latin word 'esse' means 'to be,' and ESSE's purpose is to acknowledge and support the continuing life, growth, and fruitfulness throughout one's life span. The center encourages participants 'to be' all that they can be by providing opportunities for socialization and meaningful activities in a caring environment. ESSE aims to enable participants to remain in their preferred living situation by helping them maintain and/or improve their cognitive and physical functioning, while also giving respite to caregivers.

ESSE Adult Day Services offers a variety of activities including arts and crafts, group activities, reading, music, and pet visits. Participants enjoy a continental breakfast if attending early in the day, a full hot meal at noon, afternoon snacks, and beverages throughout the day. All supplies required for daily activities are provided. The center values creativity, attitude, respect, excellence, and safety, ensuring a positive and secure environment for all participants. ESSE also provides transportation services for participants.

ESSE Adult Day Services is located at 515 S Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187. The center is open Monday through Friday, with specific hours not specified. Fees are $90 for a full day (more than 4 hours) and $60 for a half day (4 hours or less). Fees must be paid in advance for the next month. Financial assistance is available through the State of Illinois Community Care Program (CCP) for qualified applicants.
