Above and Beyond Caring Day Habilitation Center

This is the Angleton day habilitation center of Above and Beyond Caring, a Texas HHSC-certified HCS and TxHmL provider that has served people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Brazoria and Galveston Counties since 2007. The center offers structured daily skill-building, socialization, creative arts and community outings, and is moving from day habilitation to Individualized Skills and Socialization (ISS) under current state rules, with activities tied to each person's plan of care. Staff are direct support professionals trained in CPR, first aid and positive behavior support. One parent says their son made many friends and built life skills here; another recent reviewer reports their son was left out of community outings and raises a billing concern.

Daily activities include painting, ceramics, crafts and music; hands-on practice with meal preparation, table setting and hygiene; and group games and social events. Weekly outings go to parks, libraries, grocery stores, bowling alleys and cultural spots in Brazoria County. The agency also provides behavior support, therapies and supported employment through its HCS services.

The center is at 744 E Henderson Rd, Angleton, TX 77515, with accessible van drop-off. The day program runs Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with full- and part-day options, and the office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Services are provided through the Texas HCS and TxHmL waivers, and transportation is available in the area.
