Hope Alzheimer's & Dementia Care is Chico’s premier social adult day program, dedicated to individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Founded by Jessica Dawn Bernhardt, a Registered Nurse and Certified Dementia Practitioner, Hope combines professional expertise with personal experience to provide compassionate, dignified care. The program focuses on celebrating each person’s abilities and strengths, offering engaging activities, therapeutic social interaction, and delicious organic meals in a safe, loving environment. Hope Alzheimer's & Dementia Care offers a range of services tailored to individuals with dementia, including respite care, mental and social stimulation, healthy meal plans, and exercise programs. Respite care provides essential support for caregivers, allowing them to rest while their loved ones receive attentive, meaningful care. Activities such as crafting, painting, singing, and field trips are designed to engage and stimulate guests. The program operates from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing structured activities and respite care. Administrative hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily for consultations, tours, and service coordination. The facility is closed on weekends.
