FiftyForward Friends Adult Day Services – Bordeaux

FiftyForward Friends Adult Day Services is a licensed day program for adults 50 and older whose cognitive, memory or physical needs keep them from staying home alone safely; its Bordeaux site is in the Forward Creative Commons building, which also houses the FiftyForward Bordeaux senior center. FiftyForward describes the program as the first of its kind in Middle Tennessee. Days include meals, exercise, music and crafts, with individualized services based on an assessment. Visitors to the building describe a small, welcoming setting with friendly staff. It is a licensed adult day services center in Tennessee.

Participants receive breakfast, lunch and a snack, along with exercise (stretching, seated dance, games) and enrichment such as music, arts and crafts and armchair travel. Each participant has a needs assessment and individualized services, plus medication reminders and referrals for other needs. FiftyForward says transportation is available depending on location; caregivers also get information, referral and consultation.
