L'Chaim Adult Day Health Care

L'Chaim Adult Day Health Care is a program of Jewish Family and Children's Services that provides medical, therapeutic and social support for Russian-speaking older adults in San Francisco. Rooted in Jewish values, it offers culturally familiar meals, activities and community life, with staff who speak Russian, Ukrainian and English. On-site services include nursing and therapeutic care, physical, occupational and speech therapy, social work, and daily transportation. Eligibility is assessed through California's Community Based Adult Services (CBAS) program. It is licensed by the California Department of Public Health as an Adult Day Health Care center.

L'Chaim provides medical and therapeutic care, rehabilitative physical, occupational and speech therapy from licensed professionals, and on-site social workers who help with family coordination and navigating services. Each day includes cultural and social activities, and meals reflect familiar cultural tastes. The center provides rides to and from the program each day.

L'Chaim is at 2534 Judah St, San Francisco, CA 94122. Day programs run 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and staff are available 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays. Participants must have medical needs assessed through California's CBAS program; care can be covered through Medi-Cal, and private pay is also an option. Call (415) 449-2900 to ask about enrollment.
