Hope Services Las Colinas Day Program

Las Colinas is Hope Services' San Jose headquarters and the home of its Site & Community Day Services and Day Activity Training Program for adults with developmental disabilities. These programs are intended for participants who do not have employment as their primary goal: participants begin and end their day at the site and take part in self-advocacy, communication and instructional classes, volunteer activities, employment exploration, part-time work and recreation. Each program offers individualized support with personal care, mobility, communication and behavior. Reviewers describe Hope as friendly and helpful and praise its support for people with developmental disabilities. It is licensed by the California Department of Social Services as an Adult Day Program for up to 55 participants.

Program options include self-advocacy, communication and instructional classes, volunteer activities, employment exploration, part-time work and leisure and recreational activities. Staff provide individualized support for personal care, mobility, communication and behavior. Transportation is typically funded by the regional center through paratransit, or participants use public transit or rides from family and friends.

The program is at 30 Las Colinas Ln, San Jose, CA 95119. The site is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the program runs 5.5 to 6 hours a day. Participants must be 18 or older, regional center clients, and live in the area served; eligibility is determined through your regional center service coordinator.
