Heritage Manor Adult Day Services

Adult Day Services at Heritage Manor is run by the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation at its Heritage Manor skilled nursing and rehabilitation campus on Gypsy Lane. The program offers a safe, engaging and supportive place for adults who need supervision or help with daily needs, are homebound and want company, or whose caregivers need respite while they work or run errands. A certified activity coordinator plans activities around participants' interests and abilities, trained aides help with individual needs, and the program welcomes adults with a wide range of needs and abilities. It is wheelchair-accessible and approved by the Veterans Administration.

Participants get health monitoring by an on-site nurse, medication administration and an individualized care plan, with trained aides to help with daily needs and shower assistance. Physical, occupational and speech therapy are available on site with a physician's referral, and there is an on-site hair salon. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Activities include exercise, games, creative activities, outings and group programs, and there is an outdoor relaxation area. Through the Federation's JFCS, families can also access counseling, education and support groups.

Transportation to and from the facility is provided, the program is wheelchair-accessible, and it is approved by the Veterans Administration.
