Futures Explored is a nonprofit founded in Lafayette in 1964 by parents, young adults and its first director, and it now serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Northern California. At its Concord location, the Connections Central program supports participants in small groups to be engaged, contributing members of their communities. Its calendar includes social and recreational activities, volunteering, advocacy and self-expression, health and wellness, and independent living skills.
