Friendship Center Adult Day Services

Friendship Center Adult Day Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing compassionate care for adults living with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, dementia, and related conditions. Founded in 1976, the center offers a welcoming community where individuals can thrive through personalized programs. Located in Montecito near Santa Barbara, the facility features a serene environment with outdoor activities like nature walks and beach outings. The center emphasizes dignity, safety, and joy, creating a vibrant space for members to connect and enjoy life. Activities include art classes, live music, flower arranging, and community partner presentations, all designed to enrich minds, hearts, and bodies.

Friendship Center provides a range of services tailored to support adults with dementia and related conditions. Professionally led activity programs include engaging workshops to maintain strength, flexibility, and balance, as well as stimulating activities to preserve cognitive function. Members enjoy three nutritious meals daily: breakfast, a hot three-course lunch, and a hearty snack. Personal care support is available, including bathroom assistance and supervision during transfers. The center also offers community programs and events like live music, art therapy, fitness programs, and intergenerational site visits. Caregiver support groups and consultations are available to provide guidance and respite.

Friendship Center is located at 89 Eucalyptus Ln, Santa Barbara, CA 93108. The center operates Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Caregiver support groups meet on-site at various times throughout the week. The center is closed on weekends and holidays.
