PathPoint Santa Barbara – Community Access Program

PathPoint's South Santa Barbara County division has provided services to people with developmental disabilities since 1964, and its Laguna Street center is the hub for those services. Its Community Access Program offers a wide range of activities for adults with moderate to severe physical and developmental disabilities, and its Integrated Work program blends employment and community access so participants can explore vocational interests. The site also coordinates employment, independent living and transition services. Reviews are mixed: one participant enjoys the teachers and wants to attend more days, while others say the program has become boring, stays indoors too much, or was quick to send home a participant with autism after meltdowns. It is licensed by the California Department of Social Services as an Adult Day Program for up to 75 participants.

The Community Access Program provides activities for individuals with moderate to severe physical and developmental disabilities. PathPoint also offers supported employment, Project SEARCH internships, and in-home independent living supports from this division.
